We had an excellent successful expedition. Laura, a university student from Germany, joined me for this trip. She absolutely loved it. It was tough, challenging, mad and glorious. We started our trip from Pokhara, 6 hour bus ride to Besisahar and then walked along the Annapurna Circuit trail for 4 days to Timang village. From Timang we entered into the wilderness towards Namunla Pass, gateway to Dudh Pokhari, the Holy lake. We managed to collect very many different species and varieties of plants including medicinal plants and herbs. We also collected seeds and cuttings along the trail. For the third time came back via Furju Deurali, Naukhola Deurali, to Thulo Lekh and then to Kori. Kori is a beautiful place with a fantastic views around and also a spot very rich with plants, such as Herbaceous perennials, medicinal, herbs, alpines, shrubs and many varieties of Rhododendrons and Azaleas. This is a spot dividing the landscape with the tree lines. From Kori we headed towards Sikles village. We were welcomed by the Mothers group from Lama thar and the local traditional band. We partied along with the locals all night long. Next day rushed to Pokhara, then to Tanchok village with our plants. All the plants collected were planted in the Garden in the Himalayas, where they have started their new life.
